Lily has grown so much already. She turns a month old tomorrow and she's gotten heavy, can lift her head pretty well, has had a cute little naval since her baptism, and follows things with her eyes. She's also nosey (like mother like daughter). My little chunky munkey is so cute, though. I know I'm a bit biased since she's mine, but damn it, you know I'm right.
She throws some tantrums when she doesn't have what she wants right away. Last night she was just that wound up. I had already given her 6 ounces of formula, with a teaspoon of baby cereal and an ounce of apple juice w/ water. She was still screaming for more. So I stuck the pacifier in her mouth to calm her down.
She had diarrhoea all day yesterday, so I've minimized the amount of cereal I put in her bottle and I've let her drink some water, or water mixed with apple juice. It went down today, so I was relieved. She eats like Justin -- when he does eat, anyway. But even when she's crying, screaming, or whining, she's still too damn adorable. I mess with her so much. She can't stand it sometimes, but I have her spoiled with it. She loves to be held.
She gets very quite and stares at you if you sing or talk to her. She follows the rattle. She'll try and follow you around the room if she can, and if she can't see you but she hears you, she'll turn her head in your general direction. Hell, she'll even stop eating just to pay attention to you. I love my little munster.
Today is my one year anniversary with Justin and I recieved my gift yesterday; with it were some books for Lily. They were absolutely wonderful. There's a Disney Fairies book titled Lily's Pesky Plant, and then he also sent Winnie the Pooh in Spanish (Winny de Puh), and My Love For You..., which is this tiny little cardboard type book that's written in both English and Spanish. I was very pleased. :) He knows I want to teach Lily both languages like Mother taught us as children. I can't wait to read them to her when she's a little older.
I take pictures of her almost daily. I just wish my scanner worked.
