So about 5 or 10 minutes ago, I turn and look at Lily to find her sticking something in her mouth from the floor. She was by the back door so I knew it had to be either grass, or dirt. Brown spot on her cheek indicates dirt. So I lay her on her side, stick my finger in her cheek, get bit like always....but this time, I get nicked with something. So I quickly remove the dirt, wipe her drool, move her tongue out of the way, and there it is. Her right central incisor finally cut through today, which would expless last night's restlessness.
She finally has her tooth. And she already bit me with it.

23: 9 months
Yesterday, Lily thought Wite-Out would be the perfect snack. She somehow sneaked it off of her father's lap and by the time he noticed and snatched it from her, she had already had some. I think she'll be one of those kids who eats paste... I wake up from my nap with Justin, "Where's your nail polish remover?" "I didn't bring any." "Oh. Well, in that case, Lily has Wite-Out on her face."
Quick stats:
Ht: 28.5 in.
Wt: 22 lbs 4 oz
She's such a chatty Cathy nowadays. And she does this gag-cough-hack when she wants attention. She's been mimicking Justin and I when we need to get rid of some mucus. She still has no teeth. She's been wreaking havoc. She doesn't know how to walk yet, but she is a climber - found her with her feet up in the air getting into her walker. And right now, as I type, she's trying to "get" Tinker Bell, who is tattooed on my back. She'll actually stop and clap if you clap first. She still shakes her head no. She knows who "mama" and "dada" are. And she calls her rubber duck "duh".
She was such a good girl at her appointment yesterday. She was scared shitless of the new peditrician though. She went into a state of hysteria where Justin and I couldn't help but laugh. She was about to wail and begin bawling, but no sound was coming out, her mouth was still wide open, and she kept looking back between the doctor and her daddy before she finally burst into tears. I couldn't quite understand it. She was friendly and smiling with all the nurses. I know she has stranger anxiety, but I've never seen it quite that bad before.
They had to test her iron levels and such. She yelped once when the pricked her finger but just sat there quietly as the drew her blood into the phile. The RN was telling the intern nurse that most babies would be screaming by now. She's very well behaved in public. I like that. She's a hellion at home, but good in public.
She's such a spoiled brat, but I just can't help but make her rotten.

22: 8 months
Seems like forever since I last posted, but in reality, I've just been lazy doing voice posts instead.
At eight months now, Lily has been shaking her head "no". She does it when someone else does, or just out of the blue. She's such a goofy baby.
Quick Stats:
WT: 21lbs 3oz
HT: 28 in
Likes:
Laughter/Laughing
Clapping (which she now does with you)
The sound of snapping
Talking (and loudly)
Shaking head
Eating
Little boys (cuz she's a flirt)
Going outside
Pushing buttons and climbing up and down things
And of course playing!
Dislikes:
Poeple arguing or hitting each other (she get's very upset)
Other babies crying (she gets very quiet)
Grown men (She cried when Justin came over. He got a haircut and looked different so she thought he was someone else.)
Ham (she gets this from her father)
Being taken away from things she wants to do.
She's teething, drooling everywhere, and waking up frequently during the night. I soothe her the best way I can. For the most part, since Justin works the graveyard shift and usually comes home around the time Lily and I wake up, I have her in bed with me on one of her more restless nights. Sometimes all three of us squish in there during the day. (It's a full-sized futon) She also has a very bad and painful diaper rash. I had to switch diapers because of this. Since our budget is tight, I started using White Cloud, bad idea. We went back to Luvs.
That's it for now. She's kept me on my toes chasing her around this apartment making sure she doesn't eat, pull, or push anything she's not supposed to.
Later days.
